After storms on Saturday night threatened Sunday’s XC race, Chris, Mary, Laurie and Noah all showed up for what was looking to be a muddy race. Chris and Noah lined up for the Pro/Expert Men’s race, Laurie for the Pro/Expert Women’s race, and Mary for the Sport Women’s race. The course was muddy but all the rocks kept everything in good condition, leading to a messy but fast race. Chris finished 5th for a podium in a strong pro field. Noah was having a solid race until a messy flat about a mile and a half from the finish set him back, but he still managed a 7th place finish in the pro category. Laurie and Mary both had great races, finishing 4th in the pro and sport fields respectively. The bikes could all got a good cleaning with Wicked Wash after the race.
